Welcome

The North Eastern branch (NE) of the Irish Patchwork Society (IPS) is based in Dundalk.  Our first meeting of 2025 / 2026 takes place on Tuesday 9th September 2025, 10am to 12.30am in the Bridge Club, Ramparts Road.  Guests are welcome to two meetings before they join as members of the IPS; door charge  €7 for guests and €5 for members. At our September meeting we will have a “Show-and-Tell” of members’ work, discuss IPS and our branch plans for the coming year, tea / coffee will be available.  

We generally meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month and work on a variety of individual projects, IPS and branch challenges and learn from our many experienced Quilters and Patchworkers.  We plan to continue demonstrations and / or workshops by our own branch members and our very popular "Sit and sew" mornings, 4th Tuesday.  We hope to welcome guest speakers for talks, demonstrations and / or workshops. This may necessitate meeting on a Saturday, advance notice will be given at our meetings and on our whatsapp group.

Over the last year a number of our members took part in Jules Mayouf's "Belfast Horizons" block of the month project.  These and other participant's quilts will be on display during  Quilt Fayre in Stormont hotel, Belfast which runs from Thursday 28th August to Saturday 30th August 2025. 

Our branch exhibition will return in 2026 to The Basement Galley, An Táin Theatre, Crowe Street, Dundalk. Official opening at 7pm on Monday 27th April, open daily from Tuesday 28th April to 2nd May, 10am to 4pm.  Please come along to see our beautiful display of members' work and meet some of our members.
