Cumann Píosála na hÉireann

celebrating the art of patchwork & quilt making since 1981

The North Eastern Branch (NE) of the Irish Patchwork Society (IPS) is a small Branch based in Dundalk.  Our Branch meetings take place on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10am in Kilkerley Parish Centre, Dundalk from September to May.  At Branch meetings we have a variety of speakers, workshops and demonstrations; also visiting shops where quilting supplies, fabrics, notions etc. may be purchased.  We have “Show and Tell”; members show their quilts and talk about techniques, fabric, inspiration etc.  Costs for each monthly meeting vary depending on the event.

Weekly meetings take place every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12.30am in the Bridge Club, Ramparts Road, Dundalk from September to May.  We work on a variety of projects and learn from our many experienced Quilters and Patchworkers; here we have a lending library available for members.  We take a break for tea and coffee at all meetings.  Guests are welcome for 2 meetings before they become members of the IPS; admission is €5.00 for members and guests.
