At our October meeting we were delighted to welcome 10 members of the Markham Guild of Village Crafts from Ontario, Canada. The women are gifted craftspeople and brought maple leaf blocks to share with the members of the Western Branch, as well as the pattern for making the maple leaf. They also brought another bundle of blocks they had made from Canadian themes fabric. Can't wait to see what our members make from them! Branch member Carolann Slevin presented the visitors with a handy pouch embroidered with the maple leaf and shamrock. Great fun. |
