WESTERN BRANCH IRISH PATCHWORK SOCIETY BAD WEATHER NOTICE DECEMBER 10TH MEETING CANCELLED MANY AREAS OF COUNTIES GALWAY, MAYO AND ROSCOMMON WERE HIT BY FREEZING FOG EARLY TODAY AND THE SAME IS FORECAST FOR TOMORROW. After weighing up all the factors the committee decided it was best not to go ahead with the meeting due to the weather warnings for tonight and tomorrow. We are very disappointed, we had a lovely meeting planned, but the safety and wellbeing of all our members is our priority. WE HOPE TO RESUME OUR MEETINGS IN THE NEW YEAR ON JANUARY 14TH ALL BEING WELL. IN THE MEANTIME STAY SAFE AND WARM,,,,,,,,AND MAYBE HAVE SOME UNEXPECTED SEWING TIME Our meetings take place in Galway city and currently our members come from Galway, Clare, Roscommon, Mayo, Westmeath, Sligo, Laois, Sweden and the USA We are delighted to say that we are back meeting in person . at our usual venue the Galway Bridge Centre St Mary's Road from 10am - 12.15 (ish!) You can renew or take out membership if you wish. Members will bring work for Show and Tell Visitors are welcome.
