Branch member Nessa McMahon delighted us with a kaleidoscope of colour as she shared her quilting story. Small quilts, big quilts, bags, journal quilts, wall-hangings and everything in between made in almost 40 years of sewing. Nessa loves a good workshop and attended them here, there and everywhere. Likewise her acquisition of fabrics, from local shops and far flung corners of the world on her travels. A feature of her work is the creation of a Dresden block from the fabrics used in each quilt once the quilt is made. when 20 or 25 blocks have been made they are gathered with sashing into a big quilt.
